Travelled to our final destination today. Have enjoyed lovely last evening together. Swimming, eating a delicious meal cooked by  Mahamed, playing cards & nominating belle of the trip ! Early start tomorrow at 4am !

Purple Team arrived in Essaouira yesterday evening.  Was lovely to meet up with the pink team & all appreciating staying in a lovely hotel ! All have enjoyed a relaxing day, camel rides, playing on the beach & lots of bartering in the souks ! Much Purple love x

Woke up to cards from home courtesy of em, finished project work then came home to some cute little improvised birthday cupcakes and jam. Meal at the hotel was lovely and I got a huge birthday cake to share with everyone as well as a gorgeous little bracelet :) Thanks to everyone who made today great! Love Charlotte. Xx

Hi it's Jade here - just sitting by the pool with the sun beaming down and trying to top up my tan! Temperatures have reached above 40 degrees! Hey mum,dad,Hannah,Ben and all of the family,I'm having an amazing time here. The trek was great,some awesome views and memorable moments. Just finished the project today,been doing lots of painting which was enjoyable (I have loads of photos to show you!) The afternoons here in Quartarze have been perfect - visiting the souks and swimming in a local pool. I have also been trying to learn some Arabic and have even been given a Arabic name by the mule men. Off to Essasouria tomorrow for the beach and R&R (can't wait!) 4 days trekking completed.

Day 1 - 13 hrs trekking
Day 2 - 12 hrs trekking and we reached the summit :-)
Day 3 - 7 hrs intense trekking. Lots of downhill, but still 2500M up !
Day 4 - 6 hrs trekking through lots of villages. We gave out lots of presents to children who were really pleased, had never seen balloons before!

Purple Team are sore, tired and blistered but very proud to have achieved our goal. Great effort.

Pink team have just finished the project .  Classroom 19 sanded, filled and painted. Window frames grossed.  Floors scraped and cleaned. External walls painted with games. Flag pole sanded and painted and new flag installed. Basketball hoop designed and made. Posters bought and put up for classrooms and lots of dictionaries and grammar books bought as well as a big box of games and accessories from the challengers all the way from home!

Just had a nice ceremony and everyone got a certificate presented from the head teacher and president of the parent association.  Flag was raised with the moroccon national anthem sung.  Everyone happy and Sheila our host has booked us in to the swimming pool later to chill off a bit!

Hey it's Emily  aka Jamila now! I got a free camel model because I complimented a moroccon man haaaaa!! The project is really rewarding and we left our mark by painting a Wyvern on the wall. Byeeeeeeeeee!

Hey it's tom now! Really enjoying the project, the whole trip has been a great experience, been missing home a lot, especially my beautiful girlfreind!

Hiya, now its josh or ali. :) Morocco is great, the trek was so tiring! We are all very tired, but still having a good time. The project is good as well, I made a Target for the children to play with! Looking forward to coming home, missing spme of the good old English luxuries! Wassup its Oscar, or adich as iv been named by our loyal mule men ;). Been having a great time in sunny Morocco walking up mountains and around markets. So far I have two wives and have not sold them for camels....yet. I give good price. Hey this is Sam or Mohammsa which means Music in Arabic, the trek has been exhausting but rewarding and we are all glad for the luxury or our new hostel the project phase has been great as well, we have just been bartering for presents in the Souk so you can look forward to wot I have for you. Today project work went well.  Classroom painted, goals painted, targets painted... went for a trip round iron works and carpenters to get kit to make a basket ball hoop.
This evening we had pizza out and are just looking around the souks and doing a bit of bartering :)

After a hard day at work we caught the bus to the local swimming pool in ouarzazate.  Bit of a splash around and some dinner around the pool.  We have supplies now so will start painting the class rooms tomorrow morning, along with the flag pole and maybe some garden work ....

Not really! Just arrived at the school to work.  The challengers had nice air conditioned rooms, adults not!  Lovely breakfast. Just seen the rooms the other team painted - looking good!

May not be in touch for few days... signal depending, but will try. All in good spirits, the purple team is buzzing ! Much purple love x
